Anybody else get obsessed with a name, even though they aren't expecting?
What name do you just love and you can't really explain why?
I have been absolutely obsessed with the name Ralph. I think it is an awesome name, but I can't explain beyond that why I really like that name.

When I was about 3 3/4 my parents had their 4th child, a boy, (Andrew.) My Mum told me she was going to have another baby a few weeks before he was born. I have a very distinct memory, of saying to her, "If it's a girl, will you call her Joanna?" In later years, when I told her this story she said, 'You must have overheard Dad and I talking about names, Joanna was one of the possible names I had for you, but your Nana objected.(Nana was Dad's mother.)
Andrew died at age 3.
I was 29 when I got pregnant, and a week after announcing it to the family, my youngest sister asked us about names. She said she thought our parents chose good names like Michael and Andrew. My husband said 'I like Andrew, and both our mothers would. (His mother was Scottish.) He then added, 'I haven't a clue what name I'd like for a girl.' So I told him about my favourite girl's name.
We had a daughter.
