Have you ever met someone who just tried to hard to be friends with you?
Ive had to politely decline hanging out with a few people who are just to eager to be best friends without knowing them to well or liking them. But the worst was this couple I had dinner with and the woman made a toast with wine hoping this will be the first of many dinners. Lets just get through dinner and see what happens! I later found out they often hunt down couples to be friends without knowing them and come off as quite desperate.

No, but I have heard of this happening to others. Some people even had to get restraining orders against the person.

Not since the 8th grade. She was insane. I had hardly spoken to her and we didn't have a single thing in common, but she was going around calling me her best friend and that kind of freaked me out. I kept my distance from her after that and she latched herself onto another victim of her smothering and chased her away, too. She was a little...odd.

Yes. Some of the people I work / worked with. I try to keep my work life and personal life very separated.
