I wake up under a roof in a real bed with someone who loves me in it, or downstairs making coffee.

I have enough to eat, every day. Usually I get to choose what, too. I'm mindful that not far from here there are people who are hungry, and I donate to organizations that feed them.

I'm able to self-quarantine and have remained healthy. Bored and cooped up, but healthy.

Spring has *finally* arrived and I can sit outside without freezing. It's almost 70. There are chipmunks, which make me laugh, and some fawns have just arrived and I can get a glimpse.

My adult kids are able to work from home and stay safe. So many people can't work.

There's more good TV and movies on streaming services than I'll ever have time to watch, unless I do it all day every day.

Books, hundreds of good books, all patiently waiting for when I have time. Which is right now.

I got outside today, walking a rural cemetery marveling at the stones and the stories behind some of them. I saw a 16-year-old son who died Feb. 15, 1920, his mother who died Feb. 16, and a 19-year-old son who died Feb. 20, presumably from Spanish Influenza. The father lived another 20 year and did not remarry. There are no other children buried there who lived to normal ages.

Reading is the only thing that make me feel a little better. Sometimes also watching a movie or an anime could help but when you're depressed it's difficult to find something interesting that can make you smile.
