I'm a soldier.
Wouldn't phase me either way.
However.... I think I would be offended to fight a war in vain like the Iraq war. 😏 Who tf wants to be drafted when they don't have to be? Someone wants you to be. To establish Capitalism abroad.
Vietnam war was useless too. 🥴

Me, no thank you. But there are actually many women who voluntarily sign up for various reasons. But as a rule none can serve in the Combat Arms in the Army or the Marines. The draft was discontinued in what 1975. I doubt it will ever be used again. The military has emphasized an all volunteer force, and will continue to do so. Besides with Mr Trump piling up the debt he and all his successors will avoid any and all involvements overseas for the foreseeable future.

Women were not allowed to serve in the US military as permanent members until 1948.

I imagine they'd be relieved. Why would they be offended? They should count themselves lucky, they have it much better than men.
