Roofing contingency?
We had a roofing contractor come to our house in September and examine our roof. They met with our adjuster and got the claim approved. We signed a roofinging contingency. We had two friends of ours give us bad reviews of the roofing contractor. The roofing contigency did not state we had a three day cooking off period nor did it state how long we are bound under this contingency. How long are we committed to this contingency. We live in georgia.

Either you were NEVER bound by whatever you signed, or you are ALREADY in violation for not completing the contract. Without reading whatever you signed, we can't tell which.

Call the roofing contractor and tell them you want out. If they are honest, they will let you go and cancel everything. If not, you don't want to do any roof business with them. Call insurance and stop their processes. Then start over. Do not use the roofers recommended by the insurance company. The insurance company is not your friend.
