Will a fellow Dem PLEASE answer this?

"Shutting down the police depts"........is becoming an unnecessary sideshow DIVERSION. 

No one is advocating  getting rid of ALL cops,  now and forever.........and if they are, then they are an idiot. 

No one argues Cops have their role......and a damn tough job , at that.......

but the abuse is out of hand......the MILITARIZING the Police is out of hand, and THAT needs to change. 

Democrats and Republicans live in their own little worlds where everyone is exactly the same. 

The real Americans (the people who are independents and vote for independents) are the people who decide elections... but we're alienated by the partisans and their rants. 

Democrats are convinced they're going to win just because of how bad Trump is just like how Republicans insist they're going to win because of how bad Biden is. No one makes an effort to present a candidate people could actually rally behind, just a candidate that "is better than the opposition"

I still insist that most of these BLM protests have been taken over by white liberals who just want to use the protests as a weapon against trump. No longer is it actually about fixing systemic racism, it's just about making Trump look bad. Not that Trump needs help, but stuff like painting a street or signs saying "defund the police" is pandering and doesn't fix anything.

So in honesty, there isn't much that can change how both parties look like absolute disasters unless you two grow up and stop acting like children.

No one sensible is advocating for dismantling police departments without replacing it with some other law enforcement agency. Those are right-wing trolls pretending they're "liberals" who are saying that.  Defunding, yes. the militarization of civilian-controlled police is not necessary in the U.S. and serves no useful purpose.

Police are THE most corrupt employees of the government.  The only over-sight they have is by other cops - and they have that stupid "Blue wall"!

What to satisfy me, and still keep them?  Here is how - make police a job you need to be voted in to - and re0vote often if you want to keep it - AND over-sight from someone that has NOTHING to do with law enforcement!

Basically let the people decide who gets that job - AND knock down that "blue wall" so badly there is no way to re-build it!

Because it doesn't trigger us like it does you.
