How do I fill a prescription in Canada?

Found out my cat is diabetic last week got her insulin filled locally which was 300 dollars. I know its 35-50 dollars in Canada which is about 30 minutes to the boarder. I'm trying to get this figured out for when the boarder opens up again hopefully before I need to get it again. I can't keep spending that much I have to get the cost if I'm going to beable to afford it.

You get a prescription from a Canadian veterinarian. That means you will have to take the cat to a Canadian veterinarian, get exams/tests or whatever that vet requires before they issue a prescription. If the prescription can't be filled by the vet, you'll have to take it to a pharmacy and hope they can fill it that day; otherwise you stay overnight or come back later to pick it up. Call some Canadian vets and ask about it. Then you'll probably have to keep going back from time to time for checkups.

It's a border. A boarder is someone who rents a room in a house.

Contact a few veterinary clinics before you go and make sure that's the price.

Unfortunately no one knows when the boarder will re open.
