Pay Off Credit Card in full?

I am in a financially good spot to pay off two of my credit cards in full. Is it a smart idea to pay them off all at once or should I continue to just pay above the minimum payment?

If you are can afford to pay the cards off, why do you want to continue to pay high rates of interest on the outstanding balance? It's financial madness!

Paying interest is always a bad idea if you have a choice. I have not in 30+ years.
