Is a used 2012 Honda Ridgeline a decent first car?

Ive always wanted one and love the look of it however everyone tells me its better to just get an affordable/efficient sedan. Is the Ridgeline really that high maintenance? Anyways, any opinions help.

Looking at Craigslist LA, you are looking at $15K for an eight-year-old vehicle.   For $10,000 LESS you can get a small sedan or compact suv.  If you don't mind wasting $10,000 for a vehicle, you really shouldn't care about maintenance costs.

If you don't care about the money, get it.

Personally, I use my money for other things other than a toy vehicle -- food, housing, clothing, communications....

Any vehicle by Honda or Toyota is a good bet.   A 2012 is a little new for a first car by my standards, but the Ridgeline is basically a Honda Pilot SUV .   Should be no problems
