What is a TRUE Christian?

Jesus said, "The true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth". (John 4:23)

Jesus said, "Thy (God's) word is truth". (John 17:17)  So if we worship with the right spirit and in truth, then we must worship according to God's word!

Receive teaching "with all readiness of heart" (the right spirit or attitude) and search the scriptures daily to see if those teachings are true. (Acts 17:11)

Jesus said,  “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples. " (John 8:31). 2 John 9 says, "Everyone who goes on ahead and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God. Whoever abides in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. "

Jesus said, "Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me." ( John 14:21)

Jesus said, "If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him..." ( John 14:23)

Secondly, a true Christian shows love for fellow believers!

Jesus said, "By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” (John 13:35)

John wrote, "If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen." (1 John 3:14)

Since “Christians” are followers of Jesus Christ.  A “True” Christian would closely follow his teachings and example in their worship. The scriptures give us these guidelines at: John 17:3; John 3:36; James 2:26.  True Christians would also take these scriptures to heart in following Jesus example...

#1. 2Tim.3:16,17; Mark 7:7... Believe and teach only what is in the Bible.

#2. John 17:6; Psalm. 83:18... Worship the Almighty God and use his personal name, Not the title “God” only, when addressing Him.

#3. John 13:35... Show true love for one another.

#4. John 3:36; Acts 4:12... Obey Jesus. God uses Jesus to save us.

#5. John 18:36; Acts 5:29... Do not get involved in politics.

#6. Matt. 24:14; 6:10... Teach others that God’s kingdom is the only solution to our problems.

James 2:19... It’s not enough just to believe in God. We need to do what he says in the Bible.

Someone who believes what the Bible says, believes that Jesus is the son of God and he died on the cross and rose again. Someone who loves god, prays a lot, and trusts him. Reads the Bible often. 

The fact of the matter: A true Christian does the will of God and the will of God is to be obedient to God holy word the bible and too spread God The Lord Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior holy word throughout the entire world so that some might become saved.
