Why did catholics add Scripture that adheres to a powerless water baptism that denies the power of God to baptize His people (Jn 1:33)?

    If the pre schism church had not collated and declared canonical any of the New Testament scriptures you’re basing the claim on, you wouldn’t have The Bible which you are use if to make your claim
