Why aren't today's Christians born again as illustrated by Jesus of THE WIND in John 3:8?

Update:

Jesus gave us an ILLUSTRATION of (((THE WIND))) in John 3:8 SAYING

>>>"SO IT IS EVERY ONE BORN OF THE SPIRIT"<<<

GOD commanded Ezekiel to prophesy to (((THE WIND))) and command it to blow upon DRY BONES and they shall live" in Ezekiel 37:9

>>>"SO IT IS EVERY ONE BORN OF THE SPIRIT"<<< (John 3:8).

Ezekiel Prophesy was FULFILLED on the Day of Pentecost when "Suddenly (((THE WIND))) filled the house where they were sitting" (Acts 2:2)

"And they were filled with the Holy Ghost" (Acts 2:4)

Update 2:

>>>"SO IT IS EVERY ONE BORN OF THE SPIRIT"<<< (John 3:8)

When one is Holy Spirit baptized. Jesus promised "POWER" (Acts 1:8), "SPIRITUAL GIFTS" (I Corinthians 12:7-10) and "SIGNS FOLLOWING" (Mark 16:17-18) received AFTER Holy Spirit baptism (Acts 1:5; I Corinthians 12:7-10; Mark 16:17-18)

To (((CONFIRM))) that the LORD is working with us" (Mark 16:20).

Therefore why aren't today's Christians 'born again of the spirit" (John 3:5-8) like Jesus gave us in His illustration in John 3:8?

    HE IS REFERRING TO BAPTISM.

BORN AGAIN IS BEING BAPTIZED, BECAUSE IT ERASES ORIGINAL SIN FROM OUR SOULS. FOR WE INHERITED ORIGINAL SIN NOT KNOWING OF IT, THEREFORE GOD ERASES IT FROM OUR SOULS WITHOUT KNOWING IT ALSO, THATS WHY CATHOLICS BAPTIZE BABIES.

PROTESTANTS THINK (WRONGLY) THAT IT HAPPENS WHEN ONE TURNS TO JESUS AND SEEKS FORGIVENESS, IT IS THE SAME GOOD FEELING CATHOLICS GET WHEN THEY GO AND COMPLETE THEIR CONFESSION TO A PRIEST. THEIR SOULS ARE WIPED CLEAN FROM THE STAIN OF SINS WHEN SINCERE AND HUMBLE OF HEART. THEY THINK THAT IS BORN AGAIN, BUT THIS IS NOT TRUE, YOU STILL HAVE TO BE BAPTIZED TO GET INTO HEAVEN AND IT MUST BE WITH WATER, AND IN THE NAME OF "THE FATHER, THE SON AND THE HOLY SPIRIT. OR YOU WILL HAVE TO BE BAPTIZED ALL OVER AGAIN IF NOT DONE THIS WAY, JESUS HIMSELF STATES THIS IN THE HOLY BIBLE.

They are just like they were at the beginning of Christianity.

I will also relate the manner in which we dedicated ourselves to God when we had been made new through Christ; lest, if we omit this, we seem to be unfair in the explanation we are making. As many as are persuaded and believe that what we teach and say is true, and undertake to be able to live accordingly, are instructed to pray and to entreat God with fasting, for the remission of their sins that are past, we praying and fasting with them. Then they are brought by us where there is water, and are regenerated in the same manner in which we were ourselves regenerated. For, in the name of God, the Father and Lord of the universe, and of our Savior Jesus Christ, and of the Holy Spirit, they then receive the washing with water. For Christ also said, “Except ye be born again, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.” (Chap. LXI - Christian Baptism, First Apology, by Justin Martyr, ca. AD 140). (Compare to Titus 3:5 and Jn 3:5).

When they are baptized/immersed in the name of the Father, Son and HS, they are "born of water and spirit" and thus "born again".  That is when one's new life as a Christian begins (Rom 6:3-4).

It wasn't until Martin Luther's "Justification by Faith Alone" doctrine in the 16th century did some start questioning "born of water and spirit" equaling baptism.

The answer is literally hinted in the verse. A Christian cannot know if they are "born again". The Spirit works in mysterious ways similar to how the wind operates.

Because Romans 6:4 explains it without the forced error in your question.
