Have you ever seen the 1983 miniseries "The Winds of War" What did you think about it?
I've been watching it on youtube (free) for the first time in decades and it's better than I remember. There are no computer graphics but the story is compelling and the drama is a good way to learn about WW2. "The Winds of War" was a really big deal when it came out.
