Should plastic or rubber tipped bullets be used by police instead of regular bullets?
This way, the suspect is still stopped but is more likely to survive and innocent bystanders are less likely to be killed by a stray bullet.
7 AnswersLaw Enforcement & Police2 days agoDo you like the old Pepe Le Pew Cartoons?
You can watch a sample online at Amazon, YouTube, Boomerang. I liked them as a kid and like them now.
4 AnswersComics & Animation4 weeks agoWhat would you think about a Grandpalousa festival?
At Grandpalousa all the headlining musicians, comedians, magicians, etc. would have to be grandparents. It would obviously be aimed at an older audience but do you think, once COVID is contained, it could be successful?
1 AnswerParenting2 months agoToday, people who text and email use many abbreviations. Can you figure out what the abbreviations from this letter written in 1774 mean?
See the photo. I'll give you the first one, "d" with the raised "r" stands for 'dear'. Gold star if you get them all.
BTW: Mary Delany (1700-1788) became a popular artist at age 71. Just search her name and you'll see her flowers which are paper cutout decoupages. They are elegant and lovely.
Words & Wordplay2 months agoCan Trump pardon those who stormed the Capitol building?
Just wondering.
5 AnswersPolitics3 months agoHow will today's storming the Capitol effect future opinions about Trump or the republicans who supported his unsubstantiated claims?
I'm not a Mitch McConnell fan but today when it was time to stand and be counted, he stood up for democracy, the Constitution, and America.
3 AnswersPolitics3 months agoDid you know this was in the stimulus bill?
Elimination of surprise medical bills, in which patients at an in-network hospital or clinic receive treatment by an out-of-network practitioner, resulting in shockingly high bills. Now, patients will pay the in-network rate for all services and the insurance company and provider negotiate the reimbursement.
Other - Business & Finance4 months agoHow about given $10,000 to each of the bottom earning 100,000,000 adults? (Total 1 trillion)?
Not only would it help those receiving the checks but it would in turn help:
+ Landlords and banks who haven't been getting rent or mortgage payments.
+ Local businesses, grocery stores, restaurants, gas stations, hardware and department stores, etc.
+ The manufacturers of products, the suppliers of parts or raw materials.Local and state governments who have reduced income from sales-tax and increased demands on services.
+ Dentist, Drs., hospitals, clinics, etc. who haven't been getting payments or who have reduced income because patient's have been holding off on care until they got some money.
+ Charities
+ Transportation companies and their employees.
+ almost everyone.
It would also provide a great relief and improve mental health for all those who are on verge of financial collapse and/or being thrown out on the streets.
4 AnswersOther - Business & Finance4 months agoWhat do you think about a recycled Christmas?
If you are part of a family with adult children, instead of buying something new for everyone, instead give something you have that you're done with but think they will enjoy. (and maybe a gift certificate in case your gift bombs) Our family did that a few years ago and it worked out pretty well. We're not rich but we all had accumulated plenty of things over the years. It was a fun variation on the usual gift giving.

6 AnswersPolls & Surveys8 months agoShould a police department have a professional counselor to help officers deal with the stress of policing and PTSD?
Police are often disrespected, threaten, assaulted, and even shot. They see victims of rape, assault, and murder and have to deal with the families. All of this can lead to stress, anxiety, hypervigilance, nightmares, and violent outbursts. Perhaps a professional counselor can help officers and root out ones that are going over the edge.
13 AnswersLaw Enforcement & Police10 months agoHave you ever seen the 1983 miniseries "The Winds of War" What did you think about it?
I've been watching it on youtube (free) for the first time in decades and it's better than I remember. There are no computer graphics but the story is compelling and the drama is a good way to learn about WW2. "The Winds of War" was a really big deal when it came out.
Drama10 months agoHave you ever seen the Disney movie "Song of the South?"?
Did you like it? I thought it was pretty good and no, it shouldn't be taken in any way as to how things were back in the days of slavery.
4 AnswersMovies10 months agoLadies, can you make a face mask out of a bra cup?
The reason I ask is that I was at Walmart and there are many bra's on sale and maybe since regular masks are in short supply...Also, a bra cup would keep droplets further away from your mouth and nose vs. a bandanna.
3 AnswersFashion & Accessories1 year agoWhat would be a good name that isn't a joke name to replace the planet's name starting with the letter "U"?
When I first asked this question I wrote the planet's name and it was removed. My guess is that the algorithms deleted it because of the last 4 letters of that planet's name. So I'm asking again.
6 AnswersJokes & Riddles1 year agoDo you have any ideas about how to deal with a pandemic so that the economy isn't destroyed as well?
The response to Corona virus has been terrible for the economy. In the future, it would be great if recessions caused by a pandemic could be avoided. How could that be done?
