    It doesn't. We can't erase our history. We have to learn from it and go forward.

    What he said is that white statues of Jesus should be torn down, never thought about it before but obviously Jesus was not white and suggesting that depicting him as a white man is racism is a legitimate point.

    Though I disagree with him as any such decisions to remove or change a statue or image can only be made by religious leaders and their congregations, but I defend his right to say this, don't you.  

    Or are you another Republican who only agrees with free speech when people are saying things you agree with.

    I can certainly see the point. Born in the Middle East, it seems unlikely that Jesus was the white guy depicted in white American churches.

    Perhaps you haven't heard, Jesus was not white.

    Racists whites 'made' him white.
