Every other country sees the GOP as a joke, how do we fix out image?

Europe, North America, Latin America, Southeast Asia, it really doesn't matter where. How do I convince my colleges that my worldview is justified?

How to fix your (=USA) image?

Get rid of first-past-the-post. As soon as governing requires an actual majority(-coalition), new parties will have a chance. Decent rightwingers can have their own party without Trump, leftwingers can have their own and leave the Democrats

The Republican Party, aka the Stupid Party, will lose big in November.

Ah, if we could only return to the respect we had under Obama...

I think the Republican Party is on its way out.  Parties have died before in the US, and been replaced by a new party.  And it's always been the conservative party!  The Federalists, then the Whigs, then the Free-Soilers and Know-Nothings, then the Republicans.  The Democratic Party is the same one founded by Thomas Jefferson.

That doesn't mean conservatives will have no voice, but a new conservative party won't encourage racism, it won't be a cult of personality, anti-logic, anti-rational.  It won't belong to Putin.

Very few in those locals pay much attention to the GOP. And if they do, who cares what they think? They have their own deep and difficult problems going on at home. Which, are just not being reported as vigorously as what goes on in the US.
