What laptop should I buy?
I want something that has good graphics and is not super slow. I will only be using it for e-mail, pictures, videos, documents, internet and maybe watch a movie occasionally. I don't really want to spend more than $500. I tried an hp and I wasn't happy with it. The picture/color quality was awful and it was slow. Please help. Thanks.
Or should I get a desktop?

For $500 you'll only get HP quality. Not good. For best picture/color quality, save $$ and get a good Mac. Unbeatable. Check it out https://www.apple.com/macbook-pro-16/
