Best way to speed up Windows 8 desktop computer?

How can I speed up Windows 8? I already know about scanning PC if I don't have any viruses/malware.

    go to Task Manager and disable all unnecessary

    startup items

    CCleaner also has a list of startup items

    further you can use the free Wise Registry Cleaner,

    computers don't get faster, only slower.

    but the best way to speed up a Win8 PC is to install Windows 7 on it.

    Upgrade to Win 10 if your hardware allows it or get a new computer with more up-to-date hardware. 

    Windows 8 and 8.1 already reached the end of Mainstream Support on January 9, 2018. Right now the operating system is in what is known as extended support.
