Ephesians 4:8 talks about gifts to men. What are they and do they benefit all mankind or just Christians? ?

The corporal works of mercy are: to feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, clothe the naked, ransom the captive, shelter the homeless, visit the sick, and bury the dead.

*What are the gifts of the Holy Spirit?

The gifts of the Holy Spirit are supernatural habits which perfect the soul beyond the virtues, by making it ready and responsive to divine grace.

There are seven gifts of the Holy Spirit: wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety and fear of the Lord

*What is the difference between the virtues and the gifts?

The difference between the virtues and the gifts lies in the need for having a supernatural counterpart to the natural instincts of mind and will. 

The virtues are the faculties through which divine life operates – we receive light to see and strength to carry out an action; gifts are reactive instincts that answer to the divine impulse almost without reflection.

 They are higher promptings of the Holy Spirit.

*What are the fruits of the Holy Spirit?

The fruits of the Holy Spirit are the products of His presence in a believing soul, much as the produce of a tree is the evidence of its fruit bearing quality.

There are twelve fruits of the Holy Spirit: charity, joy, peace, patience, benignity, goodness, continuance, mildness, faith, longanimity, modesty and chastity.

Paul's letters are not Gospel. Paul was never a disciple or an apostle of Jesus, and all 3 different versions of his Damascus RD. story are fake. He wrongly thought an Apostle was greater than a Prophet which is why he chose to call himself an apostle.

You are speaking of ancient superstition, its meaningless.

These gifts are given to those who are in the Body of Christ. The Body of Christ refers to all individuals who are "in Christ" and work for Christ. These gifts are given to allow you to have what is needed to serve Christ as stated in Ephesians 4:12. These gifts do benefit all mankind in that those who hear and learn the Word of God can overcome this world and receive salvation through The Lord Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 4:12 “For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:”

8 And again, I exhort you, my brethren, that ye deny not the gifts of God, for they are many; and they come from the same God. And there are different ways that these gifts are administered; but it is the same God who worketh all in all; and they are given by the manifestations of the Spirit of God unto men, to profit them.

9 For behold, to one is given by the Spirit of God, that he may teach the word of wisdom;

10 And to another, that he may teach the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

11 And to another, exceedingly great faith; and to another, the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

12 And again, to another, that he may work mighty miracles;

13 And again, to another, that he may prophesy concerning all things;

14 And again, to another, the beholding of angels and ministering spirits;

15 And again, to another, all kinds of tongues;

16 And again, to another, the interpretation of languages and of divers kinds of tongues.

17 And all these gifts come by the Spirit of Christ; and they come unto every man severally, according as he will.

18 And I would exhort you, my beloved brethren, that ye remember that every good gift cometh of Christ.

19 And I would exhort you, my beloved brethren, that ye remember that he is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and that all these gifts of which I have spoken, which are spiritual, never will be done away, even as long as the world shall stand, only according to the unbelief of the children of men.

11 "So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. 14Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. 15Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ" (Ephesians 4:11-13).

By His "POWER that comes upon us" (Acts 1:8) with Holy Spirit baptism (Acts 1:5).

From which we receive "Spiritual gifts" (I Corinthians 12:7-10) and "Signs following" (Mark 16:17-18).

However, "...WHEN HE ASCENDED UP ON HIGH, HE LED CAPTIVITY CAPTIVE, AND GAVE GIFTS UNTO MEN" (Ephesians 4:8) e.g. "sorcerers."

And he followed Philip everywhere, astonished by the great signs and miracles he saw.14 When the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had accepted the word of God, they sent Peter and John to Samaria. 15 When they arrived, they prayed for the new believers there that they might receive the Holy Spirit, 16 because the Holy Spirit had not yet come on any of them; they had simply been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 17 Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.18 When Simon saw that the Spirit was given at the laying on of the apostles’ hands, he offered them money 19 and said, “Give me also this ability so that everyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit.”20 Peter answered: “May your money perish with you, because you thought you could buy the gift of God with money! 21 You have no part or share in this ministry, because your heart is not right before God. 22 Repent of this wickedness and pray to the Lord in the hope that he may forgive you for having such a thought in your heart. 23 For I see that you are full of bitterness and captive to sin.”24 Then Simon answered, “Pray to the Lord for me so that nothing you have said may happen to me" (Acts 8:9-22).

Spiritual gifts, and yes, mainly Christians.

some men organize and teach and keep things honest and help people.  They are gifts from God.

The gift of love and compassion is the greatest gift you can have in this world. Not many have that though. Especially the religious. They are not in that realm. The religious are on their own path of learning. We all are of course but those especially. The religious are not going to pass over to the spiritual world to a "Heaven". They are on a path of learning in this life.
