Why do cons think that, just because they get their information from mainstream news, everyone else does?

One of their favorite things to do is label everything else mainstream and fake news when they think things like Breitbart and Hannity are somehow any different.

Or they watch Steven Crowder and Mark Dice and think they're part of some clandestine group. Why do they project so much?

Update:

@ Bill, have you ever heard cons speak? They all say the same thing, too. You can just anticipate all the "but liberals watch MSM and CNN!" answers.

I go to Portland local news if I want to know what is going on there.  I go to dot gov sites if I want some stats.  I consult the constitution if I need affirmation of rights.  I listen to experts if I have a question.  I go to a history site if I question history.  I search for truth not opinion.

when calling out your neighbors for all their obvious misdeeds, it's often advisable to wear pants to enhance your credibility...

unless you just want to play the part of the nonsense-spouting busybody.......... again.....

During the prior administration conservatives claimed Obama was a Kenyan-born, secret Muslim socialist who hates white people and wants to replace the Constitution with Sharia law.

Today these are the people who complain about fake news.

    The GOP is beyond parody.

It's pretty obvious liberals are getting the same script when they all start parroting the same rhetoric all at the same time.
