Is this wrong of me to ask a Mason?

So my brother in law just joined the Masons about 2 months ago.  They are coming for a visit this weekend and I've got some pointup work that needs to be done on some of my brick on the front of my house.  Is it rude to ask him to help me out, or should I wait for him to offer?

    Ask him for advise how best to do it, dont ask him. He may volunteer to help
