Why can't I buy a pair of Hush Puppies made in my own country America anymore?

The manufacturers of Hush Puppies, without regard for the consequences to the American workforce, decided long ago that their profit would keep pace with or exceed that of their competition only if they ceased paying the high cost of American labor (with insurance, retirement, vacations, sick leave, maternity leave, etc) and American business costs (including such things as anti-pollution measures, OSHA standards, EEO administration, and taxes) ...and instead moved their manufacturing to another country where none of those things are required, and employees are grateful for a few pennies an hour.

If you want American-sewn Hush Puppies, you'll have to reduce American's standard-of-living expectations to match those of Bangladesh.  The company that makes Hush Puppies will only return if doing so saves them labor costs and keeps their profit margin on par with their adversaries.
