Do you honestly have two brain cells that can communicate with each other?  The ADA requries employer to make REASONABLE accomodations for disabilities.  There are no REASONABLE accomodations for a blind pilot.

He would not be a pilot because he could not pass the flying physical required by the FAA.   Guess you would have to sue the US government except you can't.

Yeah. Flying is a visual medium. That's like saying, "I want to be a paraplegic construction worker."

"OK, pick up your tools and follow me."

Isn’t that terrible? They are also discriminated against as F1 drivers even more than blacks people , Lewis Hamilton .

Pilots can't be blind. They also can't be COLOR BLIND. They need to read instruments AND distinguish colors. They wouldn't get licensed otherwise. Do you really know that little about it?  Also--these are legitimate job requirements.  You don't meet minimum standards or requirements, you don't qualify for the job--and that's not discrimination.

Lets start with a fact that a blind person wouldn't pass the physical exam which is one of the conditions necessary for obtaining a pilot's licence.  No pilot's licence - no airline pilot job.

An airline pilot must maintain his or her pilot's licence as a condition of employment.  As part of maintaining a valid licence pilots have to pass regular physical tests every year; a vision test is part of this physical exam.  Failure of the vision test is grounds for an automatic failure of the physical test.  Failure of the physical exam results in a loss of the pilot licence.

. 20-20 corrected vision is a necessity. My uncle lost an eye as a  child, it was after Wiley Post flew. Post only flew with one eye because he was grandfathered in. My uncle could not get a license as he applied years later. He ended up making airplanes.

Actually, airlines DO NOT refuse to hire a pilot on the basis of said pilot being blind.

The refuse to hire people that do NOT have a currently valid pilot license.

When blind people get pilot license and still do not get hired, then you can claim discrimination.

If the persons disabilities prevent them from performing the job..  Then that is LEGAL discrimination.

Its only illegal to discriminate against the handicap if they are still able to perform the job/ can perform the job with reasonable accomodations.
