WB's dropped the bomb big time here. What they should have done is have Rob be Dick Grayson, taking over the roll of Batman from Affleck. Rob really looks the part with his younger, leaner frame. And in doing so they could of continued the DCEU without needing any further explainations.
As it stands though, DC may only be doing individual rather than team movies going forward. So basically this Batman will be independent and seemingly remain that way.

The flash movie will apparently reset the universe and explain why there’s a new Batman. Hopefully Affleck has a good ending in Flash and Snyder Cut, but if not there’s been reports that DC is trying to get him to do a limited series for the HBO streaming service that would be like his movie.
