How can I get help setting up my wireless canon printer?
We just moved and I can’t figure out how to get the printer switched over to the new WiFi. I looked at the manual and tried for hours to no avail and I’m usually pretty tech-savvy. Canon’s technical support phone line charges $20 to talk with an agent and I find that incredibly ridiculous. This printer didn’t come with a usb cable and two of us have chrome books so they only wirelessly print anyway.
Also the router that came with our new service is very basic so it doesn’t have a WPS button.

Without knowing which printer you're talking about, I can only guess. If it has a USB port, you can use any USB cable that will fit it. You might need to use a USB cable to initially set up the printer for Wifi use but to be sure, download a manual of your printer from the official Canon website.

You will need to update your post and tell us which model of canon printer you are using before we can help.
You will need to access the LAN/wireless section of the printer and reconnect it to the new router, how you do this depends on whether the printer has a touch control panel or not.

Pretty much every major electronics manufacturer publishes a digital version of the manual for their products. You just need to lookup your specific printer model. The manual should tell you how to connect to a wireless network.

The easy way to do this is to use the arrows on your Canon printer to find wi fi wps setup then push the ok button and at the same time push the WPS button on your router they will connect to each other and it will work it's that simple it's a 15 second operation.
