Do you still have any sealed milsurp ammo left?

I have some 7.62x54R and 8mm Mauser in spam cans.  Have other surplus ammo in various calibers (7.62x39mm on SKS clips, 7.62x25mm, 7.62×38mmR, 7.5×55mm Swiss, 8mm Mauser, 7.62x54R) in stored away conventional ammo cans.

I have a canvas bag of .45ACP from WWI. I just keep them for their historic value since they are corrosive primed and over 100 years old. 

2400 of 7.62x39. And 3000 of 7.62x25

I have 303 British from 1942

No I never bought that stuff. I have Norico ammo though. Nicely plastic wrapped and crated. Yes, (as CTM says) I bought 3 BRAND NEW milled w/ threaded barrels Russian SKS rifles for $56 each in the day. AND they came with everything for them. A sling, flat steel bayo, cleaning kit and oiler that fits in the stock.

I kept the SKS rifles and sold the UNFIRED Romainian AK, what a piece of garbage. You have to grind off and replace rivets to change any internal parts .... WTH ?

I don't even remember what the country of origin is any more, but do you remember in the mid 90's when a H U G E shipment of surplus ammo arrived here in the States? There was one that came in hinged top green crates with 2 440 round spam cans inside it. 880 rounds in a crate for $49.99. I bought as many as I could. The boxes inside the spam cans were robins egg blue in color. The ammo itself was a varnished brown steel case with a silver tipped bullet. Perhaps it was Czech surplus that I'm thinking of. Regardless, out of the 10 or so crates that I bought back then, I only have 3 left. I have traded a couple and sold a couple and shot a couple over the years since buying them, and 3 is what I have left. 880 x 3. 2640 rounds of ammo is all the surplus X54R that I have left. Somehow that doesn't seem like enough any more.....

Never was a spam can person but bought many of those brown boxes that fit tightly in those ammo pouches that came with the 91/30. Had over 30 91/30s at one time but traded a lot of them for Mausers and other more expensive rifles. Most of my 7.62x54r is Prvi Partizan because of brass cases. Rarely traded off a 91/30 and included the stuff that came with them. 

In my "pioneer" days of Mosin Nagant buying I bought a M-38 on a whim...last day...last few minutes of a gun show and when I looked down the bore it was so nasty I could not see through it. The bolt was covered with unburned powder. It did clean up and remains one of the best shooting rifles in my collection. So good I mounted a PU scope mount. First impression of spam can ammo seems to be everlasting.

I have enough money tied up in headspace gauges and bore gauges to buy several rifles but worth every dime spent. Between steel bullets and corrosive ammo IDK which promotes the most wear.
