Do YOU believe that Atlantis existed Y / N?

The Myth of Atlantis was based on the island of Thera, it's called Santorini now and it sits half way between Crete and the Peloponnese portion of Greece proper.  What remains of it is a very small portion if the original island. It was a major shipping center for the Minoan Empire. In the 12th century BCE it exploded, killed who ever didn't take the warning signs and left. Almost all of the city and the port were vaporized.

Not in the sense of a large land mass in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, because that's in the wrong place for a continent since two continental plates meet there.  That said, Iceland is in that position so it's possible for a smaller island to exist.
