No, because how could it.  Unless you believe fire is harmless or gravity isn't real, believing or not believing in something doesn't affect anyone's life at all.

No, I stopped believing in the paranormal early enough that it caused no serious damage. You should ask this on one of the many chat rooms dedicated to the paranormal. I know a lot of them are ripoffs and ask for money but honest ones are out there. This is more of a science site and many don't believe in the paranormal so half the readers won't answer.

It tends to be hard finding a paranormal site where we can discuss paranormal without a load of clowns showing up. Nonbelievers showing up on a paranormal site, what does that say? Then you have believers who like to pretend they are not with nothing else in their mind other than spoiling the site for everyone. Apart from that, I must say no

EDIT, But Sol, (unless you prefer Coco) you ARE the only clown and the rest ARE half-assed wannabe's. A fine thing to call your gang. You are also a very sick old woman who has admitted that you are here with no good reason other than to clown. Try jokes and riddles section.

EDIT. Hey, look at the TD's Coco. It seems most people disagree with me and think that you play an integral part in the paranormal section? Or there again, you may be simply cheating "once more" with your many accounts. Does every one of your schizophrenic personalities have a dozen or so sicko?

I’m not a “believer”, I’m a “knower”, I live with a ghost 24/7. He doesn’t like my bad habits, and will nag me about them (rightfully so).

Yes it has. Ever since I cast that love attraction spell women won't leave me alone. It was great for a while but a man can only handle so much. I haven't slept in months. I just want a bed to myself for a couple of nights! 🐸

Has considering the strengths and weaknesses of various extraordinary claims and deciding that one or two of them are surprisingly plausible affected me in any unfortunate or negative way? No.  In his book Pragmatism, William James discusses the advantages of operating on a tentative assumption while investigation of a question is underway. Eric Hoffer discusses herd mentality in his book The True Believer: Thoughts on the Nature of Mass Movements.
