The Mayan site of Uxmal is laid on a percussion north/south grid, except for the governors palace. Why is it built 15 degrees off axis?

Gigapie has a point!   I assume, by drumming my brain rather a lot, that you mean a 'precision grid'.

Await answers from scholars of that area, or ask the ancient Mayans.

What is a "percussion grid"? Sounds like something you might find in a postmodern symphonic music piece -- a hundred drummers standing in a square formation or something.
