Well 1st the serpent was not the devil . Or was it . Sometimes myths are confusing .
 Next . How many Devils / Serpents Evil Sky spirits might  there be >
 Does Satan have at least Body Doubles or Dopplegangers .
 Chief Temptor seems like a huge operation with a entire administration .
 Plus no where does the bible say Skydaddy took their legs away but the rule was to slither only . That actually would be worse to have to slither only WITH limbs .

your assuming that 'satan' or the opposer or 'adversary' is the same being as the serpent .. we dont know the details .. only that the record is matter of fact .. there may be a good reason more is not disclosed ..

The explanation I always heard is that God's punishment kind of missed. What? Not really an exaggeration. Isn't that the story of why snakes crawl on their bellies? God punished snakes with that rather than Satan himself.
