Why do people like Cuba if it's a terrible country?

They have really good cigars 

I've been there a few times, the Cuba is a beautiful country to visit. The government can be terrible, the country itself and the people aren't.

Americans are brainwashed by right wing media, and believed Cuba is bad country, China is poor, blah blah...

I love it. Beautiful island with rum, great music and nice people. It is the safest place in the world, and people hitch hike all the time, because it is safe to do so there. 

Education is free right up to university degrees so everyone is educated. Health care is free and among the best in the world. 

If you are american you hear bad things about it because it is a communist country and americans have been told by their government to hate communism. It is a propaganda thing. 

Chrump supporters HATE Democrat government, Democrats dislike repiglican policies with a PURPLE PASSION. We have such a happy lot of campers, we should decide for Cubans WHAT is good for them. With trade, COMMUNIST China (beating Uyghurs, slapping up Hong Kongers, about to butt drop kick Taiwan) seems to be doing well with TRADE. Communist Vietnam as well. If Cuba had trade, all would be well. How is Free Democratic Puerto Rico doing, Mary Lou? Cuba may be the best of The Islands.

It's a beautiful country; I've been there. You can appreciate the place, its people, its food and things of that nature while not being a fan of their government.

The country and its people are beautiful but their govt is not.

It's the same people that like Venezuela and liked the USSR. 

Perhaps because it's not a terrible country...
