If the pope is infallible and the messenger of god does this mean god changes his mind from one pope to the next?

No, it doesn't, which is why the teaching of the original and true Christian Church never changes, while Protestantism continues to fragment into more and more conflicting denominations every year. Jesus founded one Church, said it was to remain one, and promised that one Church "The Holy Spirit will guide you into all truth", and "Whatsoever you bind upon Earth is bound in Heaven", and "He who hears you hears Me". If His Church ever taught anything contrary to the fullness of truth Jesus gave it, Jesus would become a liar, or at least a confused individual, and Christianity therefore worthless.

Cite one ex cathedra statement that has been rescinded.

The opposite is true. Papal infallibility attaches only when the Pope speaks officially on matters of faith and morals, specifically and intentionally declaring such speech to be so. If a Pope was to speak error at such a time, the only logical conclusion would be that the person speaking is not truly the Pope. During the past 2,000 years there have been only a handful (actually, only two or three) infallible pronouncements made by Popes. The most significant and wide ranging infallible statements on faith and morals tend to be made by church Councils, which are joint resolutions of the Pope and the Bishops, made  according to the inspiration and guidance of the Holy Spirit.

  • The so-called Pope, is out of Christian doctrine, God does not reveal himself to those who do not listen and put into practice his Holy Word on the laws, and prescriptions that he issued in the Holy Bible.

Therefore, God reveals himself only to his true faithful Christian believers!

The pope is neither of these. He is a Satan-like man. But God does change his mind from time to time in scripture.

Jeremiah 18:8 KJV — If that nation, against whom I have pronounced, turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them.

Exodus 32:14 KJV — And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people.

The Pope is only infallible when he speaks “ex cathedra”, and it’s only happened about 2 times in the last 300 years

The pope is not infallible and not the messenger of God.

The inspired word of God, as they say, in english has certainly been changed many times by who inspired it. Which is God...lol

  • The pope is just a man who is imperfect and a sinner like everyone who else in need of a savior.
