What does accessible music mean?

If a piece of music is accessible, does that just mean it's easier? What else does it mean? I'm talking about concert music.

It means either 'easy to play' or 'easy to listen to', or both.

Stockhausen is not an 'accessible' composer!

context matters -- usually means within the ability of the potential musician to play, or within the comprehension of the audience to understand.

The way I have heard that word used with respect to music is to mean that the music will be enjoyable by pretty well any listener without regard to background.  Accessible means that enjoyment is easy to get by pretty well anyone who tries.  You don't need some special knowledge or unique music tastes (that might be hard to come by) in order to enjoy it.
