Is the Canadian Thanksgiving is just as important as the American Thanksgiving? ?

    Sure, but it is different.  The American one is only a month away from Christmas, which is where the focus really is.  Hence "Black Friday."  And, it celebrates the coming to America of the pilgrims.

    The Canadian one is more of a harvest festival, and actually giving thanks for what we have.  Both are often called "Turkey Day" though, as that is what both of us love to eat!
