Hi Bernice! HPV is actually the most common sexually transmitted infection (STIs/STDs). Many people who have HPV do not have any symptoms. If symptoms do occur they may include warts on the genitals or surrounding skin and itchiness. It's important to be tested for different STIs if you are sexually active. The good news is that there is a vaccine for HPV that protects against HPV strains most likely to cause genital warts and cancer. Women and men can get this vaccine starting at age 9 up until 45.

Yes, but it's so contagious that it is also spread non-sexually quite often.
Cervical cancer is a sign.
