What to wear on a plane?
I always want to wear sporty comfortable clothing on the airport, yet can never choose an appropriate outfit that would also look nice, not just comfy. Any ideas?

Cute joggers and a sweatshirt for myself as im cold natured regardless of time of year. For men: depending on your destination and duration of travel, even if its shorts or denim pants and a comfy T-shirt. Anything that is comfortable to sit in. Happy Travels, Fredrick.

Loose, comfortable clothing. That doesn't have to mean pyjamas or track suits.
Keep your body covered up. Having bare thighs or arms pressed into the scratchy nylony stuff they cover the seats with is both uncomfortable and unhygienic.
Long, loose trousers in heavy linen or a light wool/cotton mix, with a draw-string waist so you can loosen it if the air pressure makes your feel bloated; a long, loose tunic-type top down to the knees; comfortable, light shoes, but take some woollen socks as your feet can feel quite cold on a longish flight.

Unless you are FAMOUS or trying to perform for someone (spouse, lover, important family member etc) travel has to prioritize comfort. Traveling is hard and getting a wild wedgie on a 5 hour flight is an absolute nightmare. Sitting in a soup of your own sweat sucks but so does freezing on the runway, so make sure you have light and heavy lairs. Sweat pants, fabric shorts (like basketball shorts) a comfy t-shirt and a jacket can get you through most things. B U T go ahead and color coordinate! It's pretty easy to find all of that in a sharp jewel tone blue or purple and still look stylish while being comfortable. Check out Mack Weldon's Ace's in Indigo blue, for example. Grab a matching baseball cap and some retrosuperfuture sunglasses and you are good. to. go. And still comfortable.

Wear clothes, it's not a good idea to wear nothing during a pandemic, especially with temperatures dropping. Good luck! x

Since you claim to be in your 30s you're plenty old enough to dress nice. May I suggest Dockers Signature Athletic - Creaseless or similar chinos? They have a bit of stretch in the material and the "creaseless" keeps them looking nice. It's up to you if you wear a button-down shirt, polo or long-sleeved t shirt. Top it with a sweater to look casually put together. Wear cotton socks for comfort. Loafers are great for travel but a good sneaker is seen as acceptable these days.

We used to wear dress clothes, not flashy and not house clothes, in the days when we also dressed to go downtown. Usually that meant a nice dress or skirt and blouse, dress shoes, your best shoes but not high heels. Men wore nice pants and the kind of jacket you would wear to work. Now I wear slacks, maybe a sweater or blouse, and an upscale jacket. The aim is to look presentable in public, not sloppy or "just got out of bed" look. Comfort is high on the list, so clothing needs to be something you can feel comfortable in for a long flight -- but not pajamas, please. However, my opinion is not shared by those who wear pajamas and flip flops. So, I would sadly say that you can wear anything you want as long as it covers all the parts completely and doesn't offend anyone with derogatory messages on a T-shirt. The other people in the plane are stuck with us for many hours, and we need to show respect. I hope this helps.
