If Obamacare/The ACA was so great, then why did all of the politicians (including all democrat ones) make themselves exempt from it? 🤷🏻‍♀️?

Fair question. Please answer with facts, logic or common sense. Thanks!

Update:

And if you think “The Elite” deserve to have better healthcare than us regular citizens, then you might be foolish and acting against your own self interest 🤷🏻‍♀️

Update 2:

And to the liberals answering- do you actually think it’s good that the government is stealing money from people that don’t want to get the ACA? Like if you decide you don’t need insurance, maybe you’re healthy or too broke to buy it right now or whatever... you think it’s ok for the government to forcibly take your money just bcuz you opted out? First of all that’s unconstitutional AF. Secondly it’s bad business. Imagine if a private business tried to charge you bcuz you didn’t wanna hire them!

I'm not against affordable healthcare, but what I am against, was the forced penalty fees on people, which Trump got rid of.

They didn't.  The ACA, or "Obamacare" was a broad based health care reform law which legilsators were not exempt from.  Of course, the day to day changes wrought by the law were minimal for legislators because they, like most Americans, get their insurance from their employer.  Unlike many Americans, they get top flight insurance coverage care of the federal government.  If anything, the hypocrisy is on the side of those who oppose the ACA.  Many of them publicly argue that offering a government backed health care option to the American people would plunge them into a dystopian hellscape  of rationed care and people dying of easily treatable illnesses.  Meanwhile these same conservative lawmakers benefit from top notch government provided health insurance.  Republican lawmakers even defeated one proposed amendment which would have allowed average Americans to buy into the health insurance system used by them and other government employees.

The ruling class doesn't have to deal with the crap they dish out to those they rule.

The ACA did not keep people from buying private insurance.

Nobody can’t be Exempt from it. The law regulates insurance companies. The people who choose not to have health insurance will just have to pay cash like it was before.
