What crime/mystery books would you suggest?

Books that I like/ love are: silence of the lambs, kiss the girls, murder on the orient express. I'm currently reading phantom by Susan Kay that I also enjoy.  Any books that you have read in this genre that are page turners please let me know! Thanks in advance!

Update:

Thank you for all the recommendations! I appreciate it! I'd love to see more so if you guys think of anymore don't be shy to add more! Lol

Read all of Raymond Chandler's stuff.

"Brighton Rock" by Graham Greene is terrific.

"Motherless Brooklyn" by Jonathan Lethem is also great.

This list is mostly older books, meaning you'll find them in many libraries or cheap used copies for sale online.

Peter Abrahams, Pressure Drop, The Fan, Hard Rain, and Revolution Number 9

Lawrence Block, A Long Line of Dead Men (just one of a large series)

Harlan Coben, Gone for Good and Tell No One

Michael Connelly, Blood Work, Concrete Blond

Joseph Garber, Vertical RunDouglas Kennedy, The Big Picture, The Job

    Andrew Klaven, True Crime

Dennis Lehane, Mystic River and Gone, Baby, Gone

Elmore Leonard, Get Shorty, Rum Punch

    Michael Malone, Uncivil Seasons

    T. Jefferson Parker, Silent Joe

    Petru Popescu, Almost Adam

    Stephen White, Kill Me

Many of these authors have dozens of books, so I just gave the titles of my favorites.

Lilian Jackson Braun and Brad Thor are well-liked authors.

You might like Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and even P. G. Wodehouse's mild humorous mysteries.
