Well as a millennial under 25 who just purchased a 2020 build, I can tell you For sure white walls, white cabinets with brass or gold handles, faucets, knobs etc.

modern Chandeliers, free standing bathtubs are also very in right now.

But again it would also depend on where your located and your personal style.

Farmhouse style is definitely way way overrated.

So I’m originally from The New england area and I now live in southern Louisiana & the home styles and interior design trends are worlds apart in and of itself.

Down here it’s more of a modern French traditional style, where as up north it is way more farmhouse traditional.

Acrylic chairs & barstools are really trending. Along with chair covers, which I have seen so much off. But again it really is all about where you’re located, you’ll notice the styles change dramatically.

Greek key curtains and beaded chandeliers. The list goes on. Overall white walls and cabinets with marble and gold cabinets tend to be the overall trend.

Neutrals and natural accents. Sheer curtains, Roman Shades. Sisal/jute rugs. Wicker is on a come-back. Materials like linens or linen blends are back in fashion.

The color gray, to me, has been so overdone. The Farmhouse decor trend has run its course, but is still well-liked.

Navy is soon to be the new replacement/alternative for black and brown accents.

Gold/brass accents are making a come-back as well as mixing different metals.

Wall color is playing on shades of white. Example, if you like or will use, say blue, in your decor...look at the "white"paint samples in the blue paint swatch section. You will find white with a blue tint to it. Same with green, red, yellow....etc. shades of ti ted white look nice and crisp with bright white trim or even wooden trim.

After painting and placing furniture in a room is where the decorating fun begins. This is when you add color, texture and style with your accessories.
