Dumbledore was an old man with a longer life, and longer chance at redemption, which he got. Snape had hardly come to terms with the consequences of his own actions, so I believe Snape's death was sadder. Not saying that he and Harry would have had a father/son relationship, but if Snape had lived, he may have gone on to be even better than Dumbledore in his older years.
