He's trying to help you get over your anxiety by arranging low-stress social situations with people who care about your wellbeing. This isn't a problem with him, this is a problem with you. What steps are you taking to work through your anxiety so that you can overcome it? Start small, push your comfort boundaries little by little and you will have positive results.
You cannot live your life hiding from people and public places. It's not healthy.
Remember that all of us are human - same as you - we all have flaws and insecurities. It's okay that you feel this way, but you need to understand that it's something you are going to overcome.
Do you understand what he is going through by having a girlfriend who won't go out or spend time with him/his family? That would be a dealbreaker. Start slow - have one friend or family member over to visit for a one hour lunch. You'll relax after you realize that it's not so bad to have human interactions

Stop stringing him along if you can't act like a real girlfriend should. Eventually he will dump you because you aren't worth the effort. At best he may just come around to see you as a booty call. You drama addicted morons aren't worth the effort to play into your imaginary problems.

Find a new boyfriend. Meanwhile look up introverts and extraverts online. There is incompatibility between the two. Find an introverted boyfriend and your problems are solved.

COMMUNICATE.
I met my wife in college, were fiancés for 2 years at a long distance relationship (2000mi), and texting via phone hadn't yet been invented.
How could we still be happily married 17 years?
