With cases on the rise again, do we have a close number on the death % of this disease?

We have a decent guess of how many have died from the disease by comparing the total number of deaths in 2020 vs. 2019. Quarantine measures affect this total, e.g. there are fewer deaths in traffic accidents, but it's still more accurate than limiting the count to only people who went out and took a covid test.

So we can say what percent of all Americans have died of covid. What we don't have a good count on is how many people have been infected. So we can't know what percent of infected persons die, and we can't predict how many more will die as the virus works its way through the rest of the population.

What does the true death percent get us this point?

We know that the death rate was much higher in March & April.

Since July 1, there has been treatment available that has kept people out of hospitals.  Now with the use of anti-inflammation drugs, in conjunction with anti-virals the death rate and serious illness rate is continuing to fall.

We as individuals have no idea who is dying... how many people besides people with AMDs requesting no treatment?  who knows.

In my community the death rate was 2.9% March - June (individuals who acquired the disease and died).  July 1 through current = 1.3%. This is approximately .0054% of the population.

Friend we hear all this talk about coronavirus killing people but any person can go on the internet to the department of vital statistics for each state and they can compare those numbers against the deaths at this time last year. I already have done that there is no increase!

We still have the exact same number of people dying as we did before the coronavirus. Friend you and me are being bullcrapped here the figures are out there anybody can look at them all they're doing is attributing the deaths to the coronavirus but there's no change in the amount of deaths none whatsoever!

It's easy to find out at any time. Take the number of deaths and add it to the number of recovered. Then divide the deaths into that total. That will give you the accurate mortality rate.  Most people divide deaths into total cases, which is inaccurate, because total cases includes all active cases, which have not resolved one way or the other.

The stated mortality rate, deaths into total cases, is about 2.4%.  The truth is that of the cases that resolved, either recovered or dead, the mortality rate is 3.6%.  However, even though that number is higher, it has dropped considerably from March/April, when it was over 7%.

Nope, doctors confused Covid-19 symptoms as the flu before they knew they were dealing with a novel virus. Many people died of Covid-19 but the cause of death wasn't known until much later and even then they could only assume. People are dying today with a Covid-19 explanation but it was diabetes that truly did them in. We won't ever know.

Approx 1% die and 99% recover from it.
