Hp printer Ink catridge ?

My hp printer would not function when I have a third party black and white ink catridge and a genuine hp colour ink catridge together. How do I solve this problem??

Replace the Ink Cartridge with all the same brand.

    OR the best option:

Replace the Printer with a LASER Printer.   (NO INK to worry about).

Either use HP cartridges or a non-HP printer, HP won't accept others.

My solution to such nonsense was to throw away my HP and buy a Brother.  Much cheaper in the long run and so fewer problems than with the HP.

Both must be genuine hp. There is a chip in it. There are some youtube videos on how to get a generic in cartridge to work but this depends on the model of the printer

HP is pretty sensitive about 3rd party cartridges. I had the same problem--and solved it by simply NOT buying 3rd party cartridges.

Get a genuine HP B/W cartridge

HP ink tanks have a chip inside that makes it legal.  Research Internet about that.
