In the States, all sheriffs have graduated sheriff academy such as police officer, too? How can I be the sheriff in the States?

In the United States, sheriffs are elected officials by the people of their jurisdiction. Graduation from a law enforcement academy isn’t a requirement; however, I don’t think many counties would vote for a person who hadn’t. Sheriffs
often have extensive experience, plus advanced education such as graduation from the FBI Academy in Quantico, VA. An undergraduate or Master’s degree in criminal justice would also be considered typical for the position.

in many counties, sheriff is an elected position. Of course, only citizens may run for the office
