What color is my horse? ?

This was her summer color. My trainer thinks she is a liver chestnut but she has a black mane and tail. She is usually the color of chocolate. I have more pictures on my insta and tik took @britneyneventing to get a better idea since I can only post this one picture. I was just wondering about what you guys think her color would be since most of the year she is a red chocolate color

    Looks like a bay

It's hard to tell from this picture, and I couldn't access your other pics.

The horse is definitely not a bay, because bays have black points, including the lower legs.  That near hind is definitely not black.

She's not a silver dapple (gene fades black to gray), and she's not a liver chestnut (because of the black mane).

She could be a red dun.

She could be a sooty chestnut.

She could be a smoky black.

Whatever she is, she looks like a nice mare.

I would have said she was more of a dapple bay. Think I can see some dappling around the ribs and it would explain the black mane and tail. It's a very common colour. She doesn't look liver chestnut to me at all.
