Value of a handgun? ?
S&W .357 Magnum, 6-shot, snubby, stainless with full black rubber grip, excellent condition, gun is early 1980's. Im just trying to get a basic idea of the value. I tried a couple of websites but they arent offering a valuation option. Thanks!
Thanks John B. for the info and photo. Yeah that's pretty much exactly what it looks like. I would have provided a photo but it's not in my possession at the moment. Working on it.
It is a 66-1 Model with a 1&3/4 " barrel. It looks exactly like the one in the link that John B. provided except the insignia on the grip is darker.

S&W stainless from 80's is probably a 66, the stainless model 19 (blue). $500? Here's a sample.

Not nearly enough info to make an informed decision. Photo would help, along with model number. Do you have the original packaging? If not, you won't get top dollar.

You need to know the model number. The model number is under the cylinder crane. You need to know the exact barrel length, the barrel length is measured from the mouth of the forcing cone to the muzzle. You need to know if those are original grips, original sights and grade.
