The people who live up to the dignity of the office are imbued w/ a humanitarian quality that knows they belong there w/ their leadership. In other words, they seek the office w/ the right qualifications and intentions fulfilling their purpose.

My long held contention is that you'd have to be mentally unbalanced to want that job. Hence the reason no sane person has run for President in the past few decades.
