Should companies be banned from asking any more than 2 pages of CV/application/other job seeking details?

I think it's gross that they can ask for a cover letter, application form and CV. I think anymore than 2 pages of details sucks. They shouldn't be able to get this without paying the person.

    Like Fireball says. Up to the dumbest person in the HR department.  My advice is to keep it short, they only realized they needed more staff yesterday.

    No, they usually prefer less paperwork anyway.

    Private companies are not controlled by government.
