Why wont Yahoo answers allow you to properly edit your posts?

I just now posed a question on here, and when I tried to correct my grammar, I couldn't.

Users may edit their ANSWERS. Questions cannot be edited because allowing that  used to result in the OP changing the meaning of their question, after having received answers. If a user feels the need to correct grammar or spelling, they may use the UPDATE function of their question, to let other users know they are aware of the mistake they made in the original post.

You can edit your answers up to when the asker picks their favourite answer. At that point we can only choose to be anonymous. I edit my answers a lot.

Yahoo does not let people Edit there Questions Because they don't want people to Abuse the Edit Feature people can write something that is against the Yahoo Answers Rules and try and Hide them Self's and try and get away with it by Removing it and then Later on putting it back in and such

This question is asked here over and over.  Why are so many people too lazy to check their grammar before hitting submit.

Let say you ask,   "How many Pets do you have? "

then after you get ten answers  , you edit and change it to,   "How many STD's do you have? "

You see the problem there......trolls would have a field day with that.

That's why you can't edit  *questions* once they have an answer.

Example. You ask a question about "Trump", get 20 answers, then edit to fix the spelling by changing the spelling to "Biden". Bad users on this site would have a field day creating problems. If you really need to edit, just delete the question before any answers and ask it properly. Or, if there are answers, add an update with a corrected version.

Because some people would change the question altogether, making answers already posted incorrect.
