Why did he make Pearly gates from pearl or pearl shell when he had personally declared in his own book that shellfish were unclean?

No one knows when God invented heaven. Man imagined pearly gates; heaven is spiritual and there is nothing physical there. Moses wrote earthly laws; shellfish being unclean has to do with ones health. You're very mixed up here.

edward, EATING shellfish is unclean, because there is/was no way to kill them humanely. it's not a sin to collect empty shells on the beach.
